In addition 3 of the boxed limited editions will include a 'golden ticket'. The first person to claim their prize will win my first ever guitar, a Spanish acoustic on which I wrote my first ever songs, bought in Andorra on a family holiday in the early 70s, an episode which is chronicled in the book. It's been in my mum & dad's attic for over 40 years, recently unearthed during a clean-out. It is now unplayable but rather than leave it for the bin-men I thought there might be somebody out there that might give it a good home. The guitar is signed. The two second prizes are a set of two photographic prints of me - lucky you - on high grade art paper. What more could you ask for?
Well, how about more music? Recently exhumed demos from boxes and boxes Wayne has been sifting through of old cassettes that have been in storage for decades? With each pre-sale order — the normal paper-pack version or the deluxe hard-back limited edition - from our newly refurbished The Mission online merchandise store you will receive an additional four pieces of music, absolutely free and absolutely exclusively, including embryonic versions of later Mission classics Severina & Dance On Glass. There’s also a spoken word intro for the book and a more detailed explanation of where the newly recovered music came from.
